I notice that speaking of an Htc Evo extended battery, the term „trade-off” is used more often than usual. There are EVO owners for whom an extended battery is a no-brainer, and the satisfaction with the handset is right in the place. And there are those who would never sign up for an extended battery. The reasons are different and the trade-offs are many. What are the right questions to ask and get the answers before taking a decision for or against having one?
For batteries, it is always true that thin size cannot accommodate great capacity. That is the first and, to my mind, the most important trade-off. Many would have liked that thin stock battery of 1500 mAh work like a 3500 mAh one. Unfortunately, such an option is unavailable. Either you go with the thin battery and try to adjust the settings according to the energy saving recommendations or you get a thick but full of juice battery.
A good extended battery can have your Evo powered on for more than a full day with heavy usage whereas with moderate it can reach up to three days.
The question remains about bulk. But, lo, is bulk that huge a problem or is it sooner a blessing? Compactness is human friendly only to a degree. Would you make a haft for a spade as thin as a matchwood only because you have such a strong material available that would hold the load? Or, do you feel comfortable with a built-in calculator on a watch? With all this, I just want to say that there is always a certain limit for a device to be compact. With this limit exceeded, the device gets less and less human friendly.
Seidio Extended Battery For Evo 4G Still Popular
The above said is obviously the main reason why so many users of the Htc Evo extended battery praise the new bigger shape. They say the phone now feels much better in hand. The soft-touch back of the extended door, which is shipped together with the battery, gives pleasant feel of control. Adding of the battery gives the phone a greater overall completeness. You may only wonder why such a battery is not the standard. The thinner battery could logically be made available on the market especially for the lovers of thin. I would assume that functionality is the serious concern of the majority of Evo users, so they would be just happy to avoid the new hunting curve and expenses.
The size and shape are only adjacent factors. The purpose why there are extended batteries for Htc Evo smartphones is the need for power. A good battery will allow you at least a day and a half of intensive usage without recharge. The availability of all the functions of the Evo handset all day long without worries about the battery life is a value in itself. But it is good also to have those small benefits that come along – better balance in hand, rubberized back and protection for the lens.
